Ellie and Anthony’s Wind Mountain Ranch Wedding was such a heartwarming and joy-filled experience. After first meeting in the food service industry, their love has only deepened with time and it truly showed on their special day. Scroll on to learn about all the thoughtful touches and meaningful moments that went into their unforgettable wedding at Wind Mountain Ranch.
The Thoughtful Details That Made Their Wedding Unique
The Personal Touches Throughout Their Special Day
One of my favorite things about Ellie and Anthony’s Wind Mountain Ranch wedding was all the personal touches they incorporated into the day. Throughout their relationship, Ellie made sure to capture their special moments on her Polaroid camera. From coffee dates to movies and their pet cat, Coconut, the couple featured these photos on the reception tables to give guests a peek into the life they built together.
Ellie also wanted to find a way to pay homage to her Korean heritage on her wedding day. On full display were two beautifuly hand-carved wooden ducks, which symbolize fidelity and love, that the couple found on a trip to South Korea.
Finally, Ellie had always wanted to get married surrounded by lots of flowers and greenery. Luckily, Wind Mountain Ranch’s pavilion, which is filled with soft natural light, was the perfect place to turn this wedding dream into a reality. What’s even more special, however, is that her mom, Jodi of Jodi Iverson Florals, arranged all the wedding flowers! She gave the pavillion a lush and dreamy greenhouse vibe, bringing her daughter’s vision to life in an enchanting way.
An Intimate First Look + Private Vows
Ellie and Anthony began their day in charming rustic cabins, each getting ready separately with their closest friends and family. Ellie also shared an intimate and heartwarming first look with her dad.
The couple then headed into the forest for first looks and private vows. I thought it was especially cute that they played rock-paper-scissors to see who went first! Their wedding party joined them after for photos, and then they all headed inside to the ceremony.
Ceremony Full of Meaning + a Moment to Reflect
Ellie and Anthony’s ceremony was filled with many personal touches. Ellie’s uncle officiated their wedding, and, as mentioned earlier, Ellie’s mom did all the florals, giving the space a colorful and romantic atmosphere.
Once the ceremony concluded, the couple snuck away for a private moment. Keeping with their theme of intentionality and thoughtfulness, they used the time to relax and reflect on all the precious and unforgettable moments they had already experienced, soaking in the beauty and joy around them. They then joined their guests for cocktail hour. Fun fact: Anthony, who has a bartending background, created the signature drinks! The couple featured fun, citrus-forward beverages, a lemonade spritzer, and a marionberry mule, paying homage to Oregon.
As the sun went down, I brought the couple outside for sunset photos set against the breathtaking Columbia River Gorge. The newlyweds were radiating with love in the golden hour light, cherishing every moment. We also snapped a few lantern photos under the moonlight. After heading back in, the couple cut the cake, danced, and celebrated the night away with their guests.
Wind Mountain Ranch: A Gorgeous Wedding Venue in the Columbia River Gorge
Located in the Columbia River Gorge (which already is one of the most beautiful places in the Pacific Northwest), Wind Mountain Ranch is a rustic and breathtaking place to hold your wedding. With 22 acres of land to explore, you can wander through beautiful fields or meander along the hiking trails that weave through the forest. The venue also features both indoor and outdoor ceremony spaces, with beautiful river and mountain backdrops. Ellie had always wanted to get married in a greenhouse-like setting, so the Pavilion’s flood of natural light, paired with the lush greenery and floral arrangements, brought her dream to life. Best of all, Wind Mountain Ranch is only one hour from Portland, making it not only a beautiful wedding venue but also a convenient one!
Oregon is a gorgeous state in its own right, so it’s no surprise that it’s filled with so many breathtaking wedding venues. Here are a few of my favorites for you to check out.
Ellie and Anthony’s Wind Mountain Ranch wedding will make me smile for a long time! I’m so happy for the couple and feel truly honored to have captured such a meaningful and love-filled day.
