The Orchard Hood River Venue Spotlight

I got a chance to visit The Orchard Hood River recently when I was second-shooting Ashley and Andrew’s wedding for Emily Skye Photography and immediately fell in LOVE with this stunning venue! Read this spotlight to get a glimpse of what makes this Oregon wedding venue truly magical.

The Orchard Hood River: What to Know

The Orchard Hood River is a gorgeous wedding venue by the Columbia River Gorge. It can accommodate up to 175 guests and is open Fridays through Sundays from May to October. They feature pear orchards (which are just perfect for golden hour photos), a wedding lawn and garden with stunning mountain views, and an open barn for an al fresco dining experience. Other amenities include ADA-compliant bathroom trailers, a dressing room, a built-in bar, and plenty of parking.

4 Things That Make The Orchard Hood River Special

The Orchard Hood River is seriously such a special venue. Below are a few of the things that I love about it!

Double Mountain Views

One of the most unique things about this venue is that it has absolutely stunning vistas of Mt. Hood AND Mt. Adams! Imagine saying “I do” surrounded by spectacular views of the Columbia River Gorge and these two iconic mountains!

Prime Location

The Orchard Hood River has seriously the best location! Though it feels like you’re way out in nature, you’re only five minutes from downtown Hood River, making accommodations easy to navigate. Here, you get the best of both worlds!

Rustic Furniture and Decor

The furniture and decor at this venue are so rustic and charming! It features locally built farm tables with cute accessories, country-style wine barrels, two seating options (farm benches and cross-back chairs), and twinkling lights strung across the property. And the best part is that everything, including set up and tear down, is included in the rental costs, so you won’t have to worry about working at all on your wedding day!

Picturesque Sunset Photos

I was able to capture Ashley and Andrew exploring the pear orchards at sunset and, let me tell you, I am obsessed with how the photos turned out! The golden hour light with the trees and mountains in the background made for some absolutely dreamy photos that I can’t get enough of!

The Orchard Hood River has seriously captured my heart and I can’t wait to come back soon! For other venue recommendations, check out my Top Oregon Wedding Venues! Or for a glimpse into another farm wedding, read my Magical Abbey Road Farm Wedding blog!
