After shooting Shelby and Nick’s Mt. Rainier Engagement session, I was so excited to reunite with these two and capture their magical Christmas wedding at Lairmont Manor! Their holiday wedding was such an unforgettable experience and the couple were absolute rockstars. Continue reading to learn about their festive wedding day and what makes Lairmont Manor such an amazing wedding venue!
The Story of Shelby + Nick’s Special Day
Shelby and Nick started their day getting ready at one of Washington’s most gorgeous wedding venues, Lairmont Manor (more on this incredible venue in a minute). Out in the venue’s courtyard, the couple had their wedding first look and exchanged personal vows with each other. There was seriously SO much love in the air! After they had spent a few quiet moments together, we took some couple, family, and wedding party photos before heading to the Church of the Assumption for their wedding ceremony.
After saying ‘I Do’, the couple hopped in Nick’s amazing vintage car and headed back to Lairmont Manor for their reception. The venue was filled with so many festive Christmas decorations which added some holiday spirit to their celebration! The rest of the evening the couple enjoyed a delicious dinner and danced well into the night, enjoying every moment of their Lairmont Manor wedding.
Lairmont Manor: A Timeless Wedding Venue
If you’re hoping for a wedding venue that will surely impress, then you should absolutely look into the Lairmont Manor. Here are a few things I love about this classic estate.
Rich History
Built in 1914, this Washington wedding venue has truly stood the test of time. It’s served several uses over the years (including a private home and a nursing school), but today it is used as a private event space. It’s also listed in the United States National Register of Historic Places, making it a truly historic location!
Classic Architecture
I am in LOVE with the Lairmont Manor architecture! Built in the Italian Renaissance architectural style, its exterior features mostly stucco with terra cotta and brick trim. Inside you can find Italian woodwork, floor-to-ceiling windows, and Belgium ironwork. It’s classic and stunning architecture gives you the feeling that you’ve been whisked away to a European wedding.
Versatility
This venue is great for many types of celebrations! Their indoor reception hall is suitable for 10 to 125 attendees, making it the perfect size for an intimate elopement or small wedding. For those looking to have a large summer gala, its outdoor space is open from May through October and can accommodate up to 200 guests. And with plenty of amenities, Lairmont Manor is a gorgeous and hassle-free place to have your special day.
I could go on and on about all the reasons why I love Lairmont Manor as a wedding venue, but to sum it up, Shelby and Nick’s Christmas wedding at this gorgeous venue was an absolute dream! Their holiday wedding was so beautiful and I’m so glad I was able to capture their special day.
