CedarVale Events Wedding in Oregon

After shooting their engagement session a year ago, I was so excited to join Alyssa and Jade again to capture their CedarVale Events wedding! It was such a dream to witness them tie the knot in front of their closest family and friends. Keep scrolling to see more from this gorgeous wedding and a few of the details that made their day so memorable.

The Importance of an Engagement Session

Before shooting Alyssa and Jade’s special day, last year I photographed their engagement session along the Oregon Coast. Not only was our session time together so much fun, but it also helped make their wedding day photos go as smoothly as possible. We got to know each other a bit more beforehand and they got to experience what it was like being in front of the camera. I’m a big proponent of engagement sessions and I truly believe that it helped me best capture all the special moments of their big day!

Speaking of their wedding day, I was so happy when they chose CedarVale Events as the wedding venue for their ceremony and reception. Located about 30 miles south of Portland, it’s the perfect place if you’re looking for a gorgeous outdoor backdrop for your wedding. It’s 21 acres of absolutely cozy woodlands and sprawling grassy fields that are seriously so dreamy!

All the Details of Alyssa and Jade’s CedarVale Events Wedding

Alyssa and Jade started their CedarVale Events wedding by getting ready with the people closest to them. After, we took some fun wedding photos the couple headed to their ceremony. They decided to save their first look for when Alyssa walked down the aisle and it was such a beautiful moment! Both Jade, who was already standing at the altar, and Alyssa were overcome with emotion. You could FEEL all the love! They then shared intimate and personal handwritten vows before their first kiss as a married couple.

After the ceremony, we took some time to get Alyssa and Jade’s family and wedding party photos, followed by the couple’s grand entrance into the reception. After their first dance and speeches, we stepped away from the reception for some GORGEOUS golden-hour sunset photos which I am still not over. Then it was back inside for a quick bite to eat and, of course, cake!

One of my favorite moments from the reception was when the brides’ mothers surprised everyone by donning costumes and putting on a fun dance performance for the couple, kicking off an evening of dancing! Everyone partied hard well into the night. To cap off their special day, Alyssa and Jade shared one last private dance before their glowstick-filled grand exit to their limo.

Alyssa and Jade’s CedarVale Events wedding was seriously one to remember. These two are an amazing couple and I wish them all the best!
