How Cheyenne and Cam Got Engaged
When I first heard Cheyenne and Cam’s engagement story, I could tell these two not only love to have fun together but that they also put a lot of thought into making the time they have together as special as possible. Here’s a bit of their story.
For years Cheyenne had been teasing Cam about wanting a ring. He ALWAYS responded with “I can go get you a ring pop right now!” One year while the couple was out hunting for their annual Christmas tree, Cam pulled out a 3D ring pop that he had printed. Hidden inside the ring pop was a REAL ring, which he used to propose to Cheyenne.
The couple admitted that they are “Christmas obsessed” so the timing of their engagement couldn’t have been more fitting. Cam had also pulled in so many of their inside jokes, personality quirks, and a few special people in their lives to make it all happen, making their engagement that much more special and meaningful.
Cheyenne and Cam’s Engagement Photos on the Beach at Cannon Beach, Oregon
The couple is planning to hold a summer wedding next year and wanted to take some beach engagement photos beforehand. Cheyenne & Cam loved the idea of engagement photos at the coast and chose Cannon Beach as the location for their shoot. Cannon Beach is a popular spot on the Oregon Coast and has an amazing sprawling beach with beautiful views of Haystack Rock. While this beach can get busy, going on a weekday during the off-season definitely helped us to avoid the crowds.
The day of, we started the session wandering the beach. Cheyenne and Cam braved the cold and even hopped in the water for a few shots. After we shot all their engagement photos on the beach, we took a few in the tall grass that is very iconic for the Oregon Coast.
We ended Cheyenne and Cam’s engagement session at Ecola State Park, a beautiful park right outside of the town. The park has its own beautiful beach, hiking trails, and views of Cannon Beach. The couple changed outfits and we stopped at the viewpoint to get some great shots as the sun was going down. Cheyenne and Cam had also brought along their sweet corgi, Bogey so, of course, we got a few photos with him too.
Cheyenne and Cam’s beach engagement photos were so much fun. I had the best time photographing them and I couldn’t be more excited to capture their wedding next year.
