Samantha and Franklin planned a morning beach elopement at one of their favorite places, the Oregon Coast. The couple opted for a morning elopement and the sun was absolutely gorgeous, shining through the trees and fog. Mornings are a great time to elope as the light is soft and perfect and there are usually fewer people making it even more intimate and private, just what the couple was looking for. How Samantha + Franklin Planned Their Intimate Beach Wedding at Seal Rock
Being engaged is such a special time in a couple’s life but it can oftentimes go by so quickly. Before you know it, you’re married and your engagement is just a thing of the past. Wanting to soak in this season of life, Samantha and Franklin celebrated a 3-year engagement! They were originally planning a large traditional wedding but decided that wasn’t for them. They opted to plan an intimate beach wedding with just their daughter instead.
The couple had visited the Oregon coast with friends a few years earlier. That trip was the first time Franklin had ever seen the ocean and he immediately fell in love. When it came time to decide where to get married, the decision was easy!

Samantha and Franklin’s Oregon Coast Elopement with Family
Samantha & Franklin’s intimate day was so incredibly special. The couple traveled all the way out from Montana to elope on the Oregon Coast. They chose a vacation rental in Waldport, OR, and found a remote beach close to their cabin. The beach was so private and intimate, making it the perfect place for them to exchange their vows.
On the day of their intimate beach wedding, I got to the cabin early. When I got to the cabin, Samantha and Franklin had just woken up. As anyone with a young baby knows, sleep is hard to come by, and even more so when you’re planning an elopement! Thankfully, Samantha’s aunt and uncle who live close by came along for the day to celebrate and help with baby Amelia.
The couple spent the morning getting ready with their daughter. Franklin did a quick first look with Amelia on the balcony overlooking the ocean followed by a first look with Samantha.
After everyone was ready, we all headed down to the beach. We kicked off the morning with some family and couples photos and then walked down to the end of the beach where there were some awesome rock formations. It was the perfect place for the morning elopement ceremony.
After Samantha and Franklin exchanged their personal vows and rings we headed back up the beach. They found a spot to set up their beach picnic and the three of them enjoyed breakfast overlooking the ocean. Before we left, Samantha and Franklin collected sand as a memento from their special day.
Samantha and Franklin’s intimate beach wedding was absolutely perfect! I loved meeting this precious family and documenting their love in one of their favorite places.
