North Cascades Elopement at Artist Point

the newlyweds standing in front of a mountain in the North Cascades.

Dana and Greg traveled all the way from the East Coast for their North Cascades elopement, so I made sure to show them the best the Pacific Northwest has to offer! It couldn’t have been a more perfect day and I am so excited to finally share it with you all! Continue reading to learn how this couple enjoyed their time in the North Cascades, as well as what to pack for a mountain elopement!

Dana and Greg: East Coasters Experiencing the Magic of a North Cascades Elopement

I was so excited to share the magic of the Cascade mountains with Dana and Greg for their North Cascades elopement! They started their day off at their stunning Airbnb getting ready and exchanging gifts before their first look. It was such a sweet and tender moment that I’m still obsessed with!

Then everyone (including their best man, maid of honor, and officiant) packed up and headed to Artist Point for their ceremony. This spot is seriously one of the most picturesque places in all of the Pacific Northwest (dare I say the country!?)!

Dana and Greg’s mountain elopement ceremony was so touching and included heartfelt handwritten vows. After saying “I do”, the group shared a picnic while the newlyweds cut the cake and popped champagne. They even had their first dance with the mountains all around them! As the sun set, we wandered around taking photos as the alpenglow painted the mountain peaks in a beautiful pink hue. I think it’s safe to say, this was an experience I’ll remember for a long time.

Thinking about eloping in the North Cascades? I created an entire guide to help walk you through how to elope in the North Cascades! From the best places to elope, to elopement permits, licenses, and more, it has everything you need to know. Click on the link below to check it out!

What to Pack for Your North Cascades Elopement

Imagine getting married in the mountains, with incredible beauty all around. If you’re dreaming of a mountain elopement, here are a few things you’ll want to pack for an unforgettable day.

Proper Attire and Extra Layers

When traveling in the mountains, you’ll want to make sure you have the proper attire. In addition to your wedding outfit, it’s smart to bring comfortable hiking clothes and boots. Extra layers are always a good idea too as the weather in the mountains is much cooler than lower elevation areas and, the weather can change quickly, so it’s best to be prepared.

Snacks and Adventure Gear

Whether you’re going on a 5 mile hike, or walking a short mountain trail, it’s ALWAYS a good idea to have snacks and water on hand! You can make your snacks part of your photo experience or snack on the trail as you walk.

Also, keep in mind that the weather in the mountains is unpredictable. Pack sun protection, like sunscreen or a hat, and rain gear just in case. If you’re planning on exploring early in the morning or late in the day, then make sure you have a lantern or headlamp with you as well.

First Aid and Beauty Kit

Mother nature has a mind of her own, so you’ll want to make sure you’re prepared. A first aid kit is essential to handle unexpected situations. You’ll also want to bring a sewing kit for any last-minute alterations. And for final touch-ups, it’s handy to have a simple makeup and hair kit, with things like lipstick, powder, bobby pins, and hairspray. If you are hiring a makeup artist, they may be able to help provide you with a kit, so be sure to check with them as well.

Special Touches

Your elopement day is all about YOU! Make sure you bring things that will make the day feel special, like handwritten vows, a picnic blanket, or an instrument. It’s these special details that truly make your day special and memorable.
