Detailed Deepwood Museum and Gardens Wedding

the newlyweds kissing surrounded by their wedding guests at their ceremony.

Getting to capture Sarah and Bobby’s Deepwood Museum and Gardens wedding was extra special for me since I actually worked with Sarah as a teacher before I became a wedding photographer! There were so many beautiful touches that made the day memorable and I’m so happy to share the pictures with you all. Continue reading to learn about their wedding and what I love about Deepwood Museum and Gardens!

Sarah + Bobby’s Charming Wedding

There were so many fun details that made Sarah and Bobby’s day extra special! The first of which was custom perfume and cologne bottles that they gifted each other for when they got ready, complete with adorable handwritten messages. They then had their first look (many tears were shed) and explored the venue. I was obsessed with how gorgeous Deepwood Museum and Gardens was and loved capturing the couple among the beautiful grounds and even in a sunroom! Their wedding party and family soon joined for more photos before the ceremony.

Speaking of their ceremony, guests were welcomed with a custom wedding crest that Sarah and Bobby had made for their special day, which included their hobbies, interests, and pets! This crest would be a recurring theme throughout the night, appearing on napkins and wine bottles. Again, I’m so obsessed with all the fun and unique details like this that they incorporated into their wedding! After everyone took their seats in the garden, the couple shared handwritten vows and had their pup Penny deliver the rings as their ring bearer! Next was their reception and festivities. During the fun, I snuck them away for some sunset photos under absolutely perfect light! It was seriously the best way to cap off an amazing day!

The Elegance of Deepwood Museum and Gardens

Deepwood Museum and Gardens is one of the Pacific Northwest’s most classy venues! An Oregon Bride Magazine best of 2019 and 2020 finalist, its formal gardens are open for weddings from May through October and have a capacity of 250 people. Here’s what I love about this property!

Classy Design

Deepwood Musem and Gardens is seriously the most classy property! On the estate is an adorable 1894 Queen Ann-style mansion and carriage house, as well as enchanting ivy-covered gazebos, arbors, and even a greenhouse! And they’re all connected by rustic gravel and brick walkways. You’ll seriously feel like you’re in a fairytale!

Beautiful Gardens

One of the best features of this venue is its stunning gardens! There are several manicured formal gardens on the property, from the Great Room’s symmetrical hedges and 1905 metal gazebo to the Tea House Garden’s many flower beds and intricate walkways. Also on site are nature areas with trails to experience native plants, blooming flowers, and lush trees. At Deepwood Museum and Gardens, you’ll have endless opportunities for romantic strolls and beautiful photos!

The Quaint City of Salem

Deepwood Museum and Gardens is located in Salem, one of Oregon’s gems! It has a charming small-town vibe and so many delicious restaurants, several of which specialize in fresh farm-to-table cuisine. And since it’s in the heart of the Willamette Valley, you KNOW that its wine scene is one of the best in the entire state! Not to mention the easy access to nature trails and the Willamette River. Whatever you’re looking for on your big day, Salem’s likely got it.
