Rocky Hill Weddings & Events Venue Feature

A few months ago I captured a styled wedding at Rocky Hill Weddings & Events. Not only was this shoot so much fun (complete with s’mores over an open fire!), but I also fell in LOVE with this new Columbia River Gorge venue! Read on to learn why rain on your wedding can be a good thing as well as a few things that make this Oregon wedding venue so magical.

The Silver Linings of a Rainy Wedding Day

Despite wanting to plan all aspects of your special day, sometimes Mother Nature has other ideas. As a PNW wedding and elopement photographer, I have plenty of experience shooting in all kinds of weather. In fact, there were several moments of rain during my time at Rocky Hill Weddings & Events. If the thought of rain on your wedding day gives makes you nervous, here are a few reasons why I think a rainy wedding day is actually really special!

First, the weather will draw your guests closer together and create a more intimate setting. Rain and overcast skies also make for moody, playful, and beautifully romantic photos. Plus, did you know that a rainy wedding day is actually seen as good luck? And if you’re extra fortunate, a rainbow might appear in the sky!

The Magic of Rocky Hills Weddings & Events

My time at Rocky Hills Weddings & Events was so special that I could seriously rave about this place for hours. But for now, here are a few of my favorite things about it!

Hassle-Free Experience

Rocky Hill Weddings & Events will make your wedding day experience as hassle-free as possible! Included in your booking are tables, chairs, and cushions for up to 150 guests, parking, AC and heating in their main reception area, two fountains, a great onsite bar, and a fire pit. They also are one of the few venues in the Columbia River Gorge that offers an indoor space, so you don’t have to scramble last-minute in case of inclement weather.

Where Dreams Are Made of

Rocky Hill Weddings & Events is seriously so cute and dreamy! They have a gorgeous stone patio that makes for an amazing getting-ready location. Also on their property are two beautiful bridal suites and a giant rustic barn. To top it all off, the whole venue is surrounded by a lush forest!

Wedding Deck among the Trees

While this venue has no shortage of beautiful elements, its most iconic feature is its wedding deck. Not only is it the perfect size for a small ceremony, but it also places you right in the heart of a beautiful forest. Imagine saying “I do” while floating among gorgeous pine trees!

If you’re looking for a beautiful, nature-inspired wedding venue in the PNW, then Rocky Hill Weddings & Events is the perfect place for you.
