The Story of Goldie + Matthew’s Engagement
Goldie and Matthew have the cutest engagement story! One weekend, Matthew told his soon-to-be fiancé that they were going to a “winery”. Goldie had always told him not to propose at a winery, as she wanted a more intimate and unique experience, so she didn’t suspect a thing. They eventually reached their real destination, a gorgeous park with stunning sunset views and an intimate picnic on a hill that Matthew had prearranged. The cherry on top was that they had the place all to themselves – talk about romantic!

As an Oregon wedding, elopement, and engagement photographer, I’ve traveled all over the state photographing couples. And let me tell you, the Oregon Coast Sand Dunes are an epic place to have your engagement session! Here are a few reasons why I love this location so much.
First, there’s nowhere else quite like it. The dunes are a place where the sand, sea, and sky meet to create the most dreamy and striking backdrop for your photos. It’s absolutely breathtaking!
It’s also one of the most romantic destinations in the entire state. Imagine holding hands with your significant other, walking barefoot on the soft sand while a slight breeze plays with your hair and the sun sets over the ocean in the distance. You’ll feel like you’re in a movie!
Finally, it’s underrated. The dunes aren’t that well-known, so there’s a good chance you won’t see that many other people when you visit. If you’re looking for an intimate and unique location for your engagement session, then this is it!
Goldie and Matthew were just the best and I had such a fun time capturing every moment of their Oregon Coast Sand Dunes engagement session! They are headed to Mexico next year to tie the knot and I couldn’t be happier for them!
