If you’ve spent any time on my blog, you’ve probably already met Jamie and Alec. These two love adventure and before their hiking elopement in the North Cascades last summer, the three of us met up for some snowy engagement photos at Trillium Lake. We trekked through the snow, saw Mount Hood peeking through the fog behind the lake, and witnessed the most magical snowy sunset ever!
How Jamie + Alec Got Engaged
Jamie and Alec are true adventurers so I was not surprised when I heard their epic engagement story!
The couple had planned to have lunch with a few friends and Alec had told Jamie that he would meet them at the restaurant. Jamie was in for a surprise though because instead of heading to dinner, her friends took her on a seaplane! They flew over Port Angeles and the San Juan Islands, before finally landing in Bellingham. From there, Jamie hiked up a mountain where Alec was waiting for her at the top. It truly was an unforgettable day that captured this couple’s adventurous spirit perfectly!
Jamie and Alec’s Snowy Engagement Photos at Trillium Lake
Jamie and Alec wanted snow engagement photos and Trillium Lake was the perfect spot. Located at the base of Mount Hood, this lake is beautiful to visit any time of year, but especially during winter. The snow over the lake gives off such a magical vibe, perfect for a winter couple photoshoot.
This location also turned out to be perfect as it required a little bit of hiking. The road to Trillium Lake closes in December so the only way to access it is by foot. Jamie and Alec love hiking so this was the perfect adventure for their engagement session.
Jamie and Alec’s snowy engagement photos were the perfect way to end the year. We celebrated their engagement and experienced the magic that winter brings. To see more of this beautiful couple, check out their adventure elopement in the North Cascades.
