This rock climbing engagement session with Shannon and Ryan was absolutely an adventure! These two met back in college on a friend’s camping trip and they’ve been adventuring together ever since! How Shannon + Ryan Planned Their Rock Climbing Engagement Session
Shannon and Ryan are no strangers to the rock climbing world. After meeting on a camping trip in college, they started dating. During their 10+ years together they discovered a shared love for rock climbing and they never looked back.
I first met Shannon through the Ladies Climbing Coalition. We are both ambassadors for the group and run meet-ups around the Portland area. When Shannon and Ryan first booked me for their wedding, I knew we had to incorporate rock climbing photos into their engagement session! Of course, they were down so we headed to the canyons in Smith Rock State Park for their epic adventure session!
An Adventure Engagement Session with Rock Climbing Photos at Smith Rock
For their engagement session, Shannon and Ryan brought their adorable pup, Cedar! We ventured out on a short hike to check out the views and pop some champagne.
We then proceeded into the park to do some climbing. Shannon and Ryan changed into some more dressy outfits before strapping into their climbing gear and heading up the canyon wall. It was epic!
This engagement session was not only so much fun, but it was also amazing for me because it combined my love of rock climbing and photographing couples!
